Time to sort out the mono printing, my favourite creating technique of the moment.
I've experimented with tin foil, feathers, wire, sequins, sandpaper, cotton wool etc. I'm finding it a difficult medium to use with a free approach but will persevere. Tin foil produces some lovely effects and can be crinkled up and the used as the plate. Studios a total mess though...Sunday, August 28, 2011

My first paper doll attempt
This is Diane, and she is being printed at the moment as a greetings card. I have bought some lovely golden envelopes for her and am thinking about hand finishing the card with some gold leaf. Maybe a golden handbag and necklace!

Leigh-on-sea Art Trail
This is where I was privileged to display my work for the Leigh-on-sea Art Trail. Emma Bell (the gallery's owner) has her wonderful painting displayed in the windows.
My Work!
Portrait Embroideries
Embroidered on silk using a mix of freehand hand machine embroidery and hand embroidery.
I'm trying out alternative ways of framing and mounting these as they are fairly small and I like the idea of the reflection in the mirror.
